Legal Question in Criminal Law in New Jersey

i was found not guilty on a felony charge in1997 i did a background check on myself in its still there it says not guilty but i dont need that on my record its stopping me from getting a real job please help thank u

The fact of your arrest is still on your record because it is true - you were arrested. However, you say its not fair for that to follow you around since you were cleared. That is where the expungement process comes in - you can have the arrest removed from your record. I recommend you contact an attorney , since you are eligible right now.
