Length of time in jail

How much time in jail do you get for first time offenders of having an ounce of weed in your car?

Your question provides so few facts that it is difficult to answer your question because there are a number of factors that would need to be considered. For the most part, however, if you have not been in any other trouble, I think that you will be able to avoid any jail time whatsoever.

Additionally, with more facts, an attorney can help you to explore a defense strategy - I assume you are not convicted yet and the State must actually convict you before you would consider whether or not you would get jail time.

You could receive first offender's treatment and have your case dismissed after a period of supervision by the county probation department. If your case is handled carefully you will not go to jail.
