Legal Question in Criminal Law in New Jersey

Medical condition results in diluted drug test which counts as possitive for dru

I suffer from an anxiety disorder called paruresis, or Shy Bladder Syndrome. An estimated 17 million Americans suffer from some form of Shy Bladder Syndrome, about 7 percent of the population. While on probation for the past year I need to take piss test while someone is the room watching me. To do this I must drink large amounts of water before the time of my test, even after doing this it is difficult. My probation officer told me my test came back diluted I can only guess that ment too much water in the urine. The probation officer said she had no idea as to the definition of diluted when describing a urine sample but it sounds pretty self-explanatory to me. The procedure for a diluted urine sample is a second drug test and if that one comes back diluted it is counted as a positive drug finding, in which case I go back to court. Because of paruresis the only way for me to resubmit a urine sample was to drink large amounts of water. Now I have 2-3 weeks to wait to wait for the results. If anyone could advise me as to if have a case that would be greatly appreciated. Thank you

If your medical condition can be verified by a physician you would seem to have a great defense.
