Legal Question in Criminal Law in New Jersey

I was in a parked car with my friend- and was ticketed because he was smoking marijuana. Even though my friend admitted that it was his fault I was still issued a ticket. I presently work for Source for Teachers- a substitute teaching agency. 4 days after the incident the agency called me to tell me I could no longer work for them until I resolved the situation. My lawyer told me that eveything would be expunged in 6 months after trial. My question- even though I am not guilty- will this effect my applying for a permanent teaching job for the next 6 months! Is there any way to have this expunged more quickly?

It sounds like your attorney plans on getting you a conditional discharge and is not planning on fighting for you at trial. If the charges are dismissed or if you win at trial then you can expunge the arrest immediately thereafter.

If you want an attorney who will fight for you, give me a call.
