Legal Question in Criminal Law in New Jersey

Is it possible to get a TRO issued against someone who has accused you of theft even though you have not had a hearing yet or been found guilty. A few neighbors have informed my wife that her accuser wants to "destroy" her and basically wants to see her dead. Is it possible to get a restraining order by hearing this - we are concerned more for our children at this point. These neighbors have already told all of our neighbors she is guilty and they are pretty bent on destroying her. please advise

I would immediately call the police department and file a complaint. Make sure to give all the facts.
