Legal Question in Discrimination Law in New Jersey

Age Discrimintion

I was passed over for promotion by a younger employee. When I questioned the decision, I as told by the employer, that I didnot have enough ''energy'' for the position. There where no other reasons given, work performance etc..does this comment fit the definintion of ''age discrimination ?
