Legal Question in DUI Law in New Jersey

process to request hearing with MVC in hopes of reinstating license

I would like to find out how to go about requesting a MVC hearing in hopes of reinstating my driving privledges. I am classified as habitual. I have 2 years of sobreity under my belt and am current on all surcharges, fines, mandates etc...

given to me by the court. I have 2 children and am in the process of a divorce. I need to work and drive to provide for my children. I have heard that after some years that an individual can petition the MVC an request a special hearing to plead an extreme hardship and necessity for reinstatement.

Any lawyers that have info or better yet have been involved with this process please reply. I have finally gotten my life back on track and am desperate for help.

Re: process to request hearing with MVC in hopes of reinstating license

I have done many DMV hearings in the past, and my law practice concentrates on traffic tickets/municipal court cases. I would need to see your driving abstract in order to give you any advice on what we could actually do for you. Requesting a hearing is easy - but before I do that I would have to see if there is any point in doing such a hearing. You can get a copy of your driving abstract and any notices of suspension by writing to DMV in Trenton and paying the ten to twenty dollars to get them. Once you do get them please call me at 908-272-0111 to schedule an appointment so I can review your record with you and advise you on what can be done. There is never any charge for simply meeting with me.

Sincerely yours, -Ronald Aronds, Esq.-
