Legal Question in Elder Law in New Jersey

My mother is in an assisted living / nursing home and we are at medicaid door now

her money is running out, she has a house that is in her name only, my sister spoke to an elder lawyer. This elder lawyer promised her that the house can be transferred into my sisters name now and only her name, becasue she is on ssi and disabled.

My sister does not live there with my mother --she plans on taking my mother out of the facility --keeping her for 1 to 2 yrs and then placing her. At that time she can have the entire house with disregard to my brother and me.

she also stated that this lawyer said if I do not agree to this then she will take me to court.

this sounds to me a bit shady and fraud. and why should my sister just becasue she is disabled -- move in the house and take my mother out the facility and get the whole house.

is this true?
