Legal Question in Family Law in New Jersey

Alimony

My future X-wife receives child support for a child that does not belong to me. In reviewing our budgets she has not accounted for this money as income nor has she reduced her expenses. We have two children in which we agreed at this time for joint custody w/no child suppport.

My argument is she is receiving money to support her first child and therefore her expenses should be reduced to account for this or show it as income for budget purposes only?

Re: Alimony

The child support received for one child by another man has no impact on the right of two other children conceived by you with the first child's mother to child support from their father.

You are required to pay support for your children based upon your average, net weekly income as required by the uniform child support guidelines adopted by the courts in New Jersey.
