Legal Question in Family Law in New Jersey

alimony

Is there a standard way of calculating spousal support? My husband and I are trying to amicably come up with a property settlement agreement and spousal support.

Re: alimony

Yes, the courts use a worksheet to come up with a formula. I strongly suggest that you two get an attorney(s). I strongly doubt that you two will be able to think of everything. Furthermore, you can't be sure that things will always be this good between the two of you. Since you are not really fighting over the issues in the case, it shouldn't cost you much to get an attorney(s).

My initial consultations are always free, so call me at 732/247/3340 to discuss your case.
