Legal Question in Family Law in New Jersey

child support even though adopted

I was ordered the father and to pay child support app. 17 years ago. There is a lot of data here but Ill get right to the point. I signed over adoption rights soon after; but the NJ collection actions never stopped and I didnt do anything about it. Now Ive straightenned everything out and dont owe support anymore but I lost 3000.00 from account freezing and money ending up with the mother which it shouldnt have. I also still have a bad mark on my credit report; and NJ wont send me even after several request a letter stating the end of child support. Any help would be greatly appreciated. thank you.

Re: child support even though adopted

Its like fighting City Hall!! This may be able to be cleared up for you, but you will have to file an application with the Court to retrieve your funds and to get Probation to take action. You must understand that such an action will cost you additional funds as well, which may exceed $3000.00 when it is all done. If you would like to further discuss this matter, please feel free to contact my secretary, Debbie, at 856-795-6700 to schedule a consultation.
