Legal Question in Family Law in New Jersey

My ex has a child support ex-parte order. It was reduced by NJ court more than 4 years ago to judgment arrears and probation was asked to close the matter as I am not residing in USA.

I am out of the country for more than 8 years.

Will I get arrested for non payment of child support at port of entry or exit, if I were to re-enter via Canada or come into USA other than NJ. My US passport was recently renewed for 10 years while I am still outside of USA.

It is odd that your question has a New Jersey zip code. I have answered this question before for someone who was in Indian whose wife lived in New Jersey. He hired me and I learned that the court had closed his enforcement file and no action was pending against him because he was not in the country. Are you the same person, trying to confirm a question I have already answered for you?. Probably, there is no warrant. I say "probably" because there are no absolutes in life. If you are the same person, this is the best answer to your question you will get from a decent, competent attorney.
