Legal Question in Family Law in New Jersey

going through child support issues, if the custodial parent makes more money then the non custodial parent in NJ, is it possible that the custodial parent makes child support payments to the non custodial parent if the days are split 4 with the custodial and 3 with the non custodial ?

It would be unusual, but not impossible. There might be some extra costs, incurred by the non-custodial parent on a regular basis, or as another example, expensive health insurance or unreimbursed medical expense costs that he pays regularly, which may mean that the custodial parent would pay some child support.

Keep in mind that this advice is based purely on the little bit of information that you have given to me. There certainly may be other factors that would change my opinion. Further, no one can rely on advice from an attorney who has not been retained. You will only be able to rely on advice from an attorney who you have actually retained. Seek legal advice as soon as possible. Good luck! Rob Gleaner
