Under what circumstances can dyfus remove a child from a home

DYFS can remove a child when they perceive the child to be at risk of harm or where the child was actually harmed. The term "risk of harm" tends to be broadly interpretted and, depending on the DYFS worker, I have seen many situations in which a child is removed for this "perceived" risk.
