i am divorced i pay child support my son is in college my son called me for 500.00 to get books for the second simaster. I don't have the money right now my x say's her will have me in court regarding this am i legally bound to pay for my sons college and books etc.

You are obligated to pay for your child's education to extent that you are financially able.
