Legal Question in Family Law in New Jersey

Emancipation

My husband has been kept from his kids for 12 years by a coniving ex-wife. His son is now 18 and we would like to emancipate him. Since the wife poisoned the children against my husband (it was noted in court by a judge) what are the chances we wont have to support him thru college?

Also, is there a way to start visitation with the other child (14) after this much time has lapsed? From all the articles and situations we've seen, it seems NJ is very much on the side of the mother, no matter what she does.

Re: Emancipation

At age 18 a person is considered an adult and under most circumstances child support obligations end upon graduation from high school.

Visitation with the 14 year old should be attainable as the courts are supposed to have both parents involved in raising the child. I offer free consultations.
