enforcing divorce judgment agreement

my divorce judgment request that my ex-husband & his lawer compile a quitclaim deed taking his name off of the home. years have passed & he refuses to do so. can I request a motion to enforce to the court without an attorney?

I always suggest you speak to an attorney in person before doing anything. Most attorneys have free consultations. You may not need an attorney to enforce the JOD/PSA but I cannot tell you for sure that it is the right move here.

Yes you can but you can also have an attorney file the motion and seek legal fees to enforce a judgment--the court rules call for legal fees when enforcement is required --can you show how you attempted to get compliance voluntarily? Call or email to discuss if you wish a brief free consult.

It is just a simple matter of asking the judge to sign an order which can act as a deed which can be filed with the Registrar of Deeds.

You certainly can try to do this on your own...the only question I have is why wouldn't you want to use a lawyer when the other side is definitely going to use one?
