Legal Question in Family Law in New Jersey

i was engaged to a man and we had a dog together. The dog was a gift to my daughter. We have since broken up and he will not let me have the dog. I have the vet records and it list me as the owner. The dog was never microchipped or registered with our city (no dog license). I want to retrain a lawyer and get my dog back. how can I do this

You retain an attorney by calling him/her, advising of the situation and then he/she will either tell you how much he needs to start the case and what he/she would expect the cost of the litigation will be, or may schedule an appointment with you to discuss the matter further.

Keep in mind that this advice is based purely on the little bit of information that you have given to me. There certainly may be other factors that would change my opinion. Further, no one can rely on advice from an attorney who has not been retained. You will only be able to rely on advice from an attorney who you have actually retained. Good luck! Rob Gleaner
