Legal Question in Family Law in New Jersey

How do I find legal records from a lawyer who no longer practices?

My husband was put up for what we thought was adoption 31 years ago. Now we have many questions. Some of which may be answered if we were able to locate the legal documents signed at the time. The lawyer used is no longer practicing. We do know his name but not much more. Where would I start looking for this information?

Unless your husband was adopted by a family member, his adoption records are sealed, but there is a way of learning who his birth parents were and contacting them, if they are alive, and contacting any siblingss. You should call me.
