Legal Question in Family Law in New Jersey

With the new health insurance bill covering dependents until age 26, is it MANDATORY that I cover my emancipated son through my company's group health insurance. My ex-wife is telling me that it is the law that I have to cover him now until he is 26. I had paid for him until he was 21, then dropped him. I thought I had the option if I chose to cover him or not.

This is a common argument. I just won a motion where the other side tried to bring up this argument. This new law did not impact the emancipation laws in NJ. Was he really emancipated by court order? Your question doesn't really make it seem like he was emancipated by court order.
