Legal Question in Family Law in New Jersey

My ex husband owes $25,000 in child support. He was arrested on a bench warrant in December and released the same day without having to make a payment. Upon his release, he paid for a few months, however, those payments have now stopped and arrears are accuring again. I am told a bench warrant will be issued, but that I may not be notified when that warrant is executed. How can I find out when he is arrested and when the hearing will take place so that I can be present?

For this amount of money, it may make sense to have an attorney manage all of this for you so that you can get notice of his status, dates, etc. My guess is that you do not have a strong court order to protect you. You probably need to file a motion. Call me at 732/773/2768 to discuss.
