Legal Question in Family Law in New Jersey

I currently live with my husband, 3 1/2 years of marriage in the state of NJ. Things are not good and closer to divorce. I don’t want to live with him any longer to avoid friction and more fights while being under the same roof.

I plan to move out from the house my husband and I own and rent an apartment. I plan to leave while still married (separation) and we can file for divorce later. He will stay in the house until he house sells or he might buy me out.

Will leaving the house affect me?

What should I be aware of?

Do not do anything until you speak to a lawyer. Moving out before speaking to a lawyer is probably the number one mistake people make. Call us for free at 1-855-9-JEFLAW to discuss anytime.
