Legal Question in Family Law in New Jersey

I live in Idaho and got married to my husband. He has a daughter that live in New Jersey. He has to pay child support to her, but has lost his job. Am I in any legal way responsible for that support. We want to file for a modification because he has no job and another child since the order was put in place, but I dont want my income to be counted because I have my own kids to take care of. We dont even have visitation with her or anything.

Your income is not part of the calculation of his child support. Your income is only part of the calculation of his support obligation for any children he has with you. Once that number is caculated it is inserted in the calculation of his obligation to his outside child. Call me if you like.
