I live in NJ, my husband left the house 2 years ago and will not return, I have 2 children and he pays the mortgage every month and a few household bills, I pay the rest, he has not sued me for divorce or has he gone to an attorney, we really can not afford to divorce at this time, I don't know where he is, but he does put money in faithfully in the bank each month. What is the best way for me to file my taxes?

You really need to sit down and speak with a good divorce lawyer. You should direct all tax questions to your tax preparer.
