Legal Question in Family Law in New Jersey

I was married for 19 years and divorced now for 16 years. My xhusband is retired from the navy and also from his place of work. I have been told that I am entitled to a portion of his pension. We were married and divorced in New Jersey. I have not remarried. Is this true?

You would have been, but wasn't that brought up at the time of your divorce----?? Hopefully, you did not relinquish that possibility at the time........
