Legal Question in Family Law in New Jersey

monday we went to court and granted my ex visitations every other weekend. its the weekend of and there is no court order and wants to pick her up. there is mass confusion over the time set and whether or not this is the beginning date of said visits. can i be held accountable if there are no physical documents? my grandmother has actual custody of my daughter, and does not want to be in the wrong, either way.

The only thing that you are legally obligated to do is to follow the Court Custody Order that was entered. So if the Order does not provide for the other parent to have custody on a particular day or time, then you do not have to give them custody of the child at that time. Just make sure to follow the Order, and you will not be in contempt of Court.
