Legal Question in Family Law in New Jersey

this month i was given joint custody of my son with me being the primary parent. we both were represented by lawyers. now she has a new lawyer and has filed a motion stating that she doesnt speak english and did not understand. does she have a case.

Interesting issue. If she is filing a motion to vacate the order based upon that, she may have a case. Your lawyer and her old lawyer may have to be witnesses. Talk to your current lawyer about this topic to see if he/she could still represent you or if they have to get off the case to testify as to the settlement and what the other side understood.
