Child support is an obligation that is owed to the child, and thus it cannot be terminated until the child is emancipated (or if custody of the child changes from one parent to the other). Also, the fact that the Mother posted the child support information on line, while inappropriate, might not give rise to an action for defamation if the information that she posted is true and accurate. A defense to a defamation claim is that the information that was spread is the "truth."
