Legal Question in Family Law in New Jersey

What are the responsibilities of each spouse to the other during a separation? I live in NJ and my husband and have been separated for a year. We are currently going through a divorce. I lost my job a year before we separated. I was covered by my husband's health insurance. My husband lost his job about 2 months after we separated and as such I was dropped for the insurance. My husband informed me I was on my own as far as medical coverage and refused to provide me with information regarding COBRA for fear that he would be required to pay for it. Is that legal? Also, he collects unemployment benefits where my benefits have expired. Is he required to help me financially? Currently he does not.

I would assume you have an attorney for this. Shouldn't these questions be directed to him/her? If you don't have an attorney, call me to discuss at 732/773/2768
