Legal Question in Family Law in New Jersey

Saving my son

My ex was not around from the time our son was born until he was 4 1/2. when he came back, i welcomed him in and allowed him to freely visit whenever he wanted. Our son is now 6 and recently started telling me that he was afraid of his dad and didnt want to be alone with him. i have since put an end to the overnights and now my ex is taking me to court for custody, and telling people horrible things about me that are not true. He has a lawyer and i dont have any money for one. What can i do to save my son?

I suggest calling Legal Services of New Jersey. They should be able to help you if you cannot afford an attorney.

Re: Saving my son

You need an attorney. I believe that your son's statement are sufficient to require supervised visitation or to

terminate visitation.

Give me a call if you like. We can discuss my, perhaps, charging you a reduced fee.
