It all depends on what type of lawsuit. If, however, it's lawsuit based on improper investigation or violation of civil rights relating to a custody or family abuse matter, success is extremely rare given that in most instances DYFS is well within their rights as a State institution charged protecting those who are most vulnerable to abuse.
