Legal Question in Family Law in New Jersey

My wife is a foreign citizen (conditional permanent US resident) and I am a US citizen. Our son (2.5 yrs old is a US citizen born in the USA). If we divorce can she take our child and return to live in her country of origin? Should I consult with a family lawyer or an immigration lawyer for representation and advice?

The divorce court determines which has parent has custody and whether a parent can take a child outside the jurisdiction to another country. Call me, if you like. 800/273/7933.

You definitely consult with a divorce attorney one who is experienced in relocation of minors. I have handled many such cases. Please call my office for an appointment.
