Legal Question in Medical Leave in New Jersey

Influence Shot require at schools

Good Morning, My name is--name removed--I live in Wood-Ridge NJ, and my son Christina goes to Assumption School(Catholic School) for Pre-k 3. yesterday, I received a letter from the school stating that if my son did not get the influenca vaccine by January 15, 2009 he would not be allowed back in school. My daughter, also goes to a public school in the same town, and I did not receive anything like that.. Please advise. Can my son's school force me get the flu shot for him???

Re: Influence Shot require at schools

Vaccinations have long been required by school boards for the greater safety.

In this instance you're dealing with two specifically different schools and

School boards.

If your child is allergic I'm sure you can bring notification to that effect,

This will in all likelihood be your best bet... If you simply do not want it

Then you may seek a court order or injunction to that effect.

This is a new law from what I heard on TV. Not my area of practice, but is pretty crazy huh? Google it and you'll see some articles about it.
