Legal Question in Medical Leave in New Jersey

i am five months pregnant. when i was terminated from my job i was 3 and a half months pregnant. i had called out 18 times due to morning sickness and had 5 no call no show and didnt realize it. ,y job also had a leave if absence paper that i had my doctor fill out that stated i can call out due to morning sickness so my job was covered. i was never coached about the situation untill the day before i was terminated. could the job still have terminated me?

There is a general assumption that an employee has access to information on the term and conditions of her employment (e.g. a personnel manual or booklet). Being absent from your employer 18 times because of your pregnancy appears to be excessive. Perhaps you should have considered short-term disability -after consulting with your physician and your employer- if indeed you have a problem pregnancy.
