Legal Question in Civil Litigation in New Jersey

In the last year I have helped my now exboyfriend with some bills and money that he had needed and he assured me the money would be returned. I planned on suing him for all the money I am owed however, some of it was in cash and others in withdrawals from the bank. What are my legal rights here?

You have the right to collect all the money you can prove you made a loan to him.

You sue. You have a proof problem, but perhaps he admitted he owed the money, or if the judge believes you, he can find for you. You have nothing to lose.
