Legal Question in Immigration Law in New Jersey

H1 Transfer - Re-enter

My H1 was transferred from company A to B about 10 months ago. I still work for company B. Therefore, I have the H1 visa stamp for company A but it has cancelled. Company A claims they reported INS that I am not with them any longer. If I leave US, do I need second visa stamp for Company B to re-enter US or I can simply provide Form I-797?

Re: H1 Transfer - Re-enter

If you leave the country you will need to reenter with a stamp for your current employer. However, you may have the option of revalidating your visa in the United States. You may contact my office and we can see if this is possible.

Sincerely,
