Legal Question in Immigration Law in New Jersey

My husband is getting his US Citizenship thru me and our marriage. HE wants to also give citizenship to his daughter (a minor) who lives in Colombia. Does the mother of the daughter get citizenship priviledges as well because she is a minor?
