Legal Question in Immigration Law in New Jersey

immigration

My girfriend lives in dominican republic, she only has a travel visa, she has stayed with me here in NJ many times, and we both want to stay together here, aside from marriage, how can we legally keep her here? in DR, she has a degree in pharmacy, is a student visa the best way to go, so she can get her equivelent degree here? or can she acquire a work visa? I know someone who needs a live in caretaker, or can she work for me, I have a small Handyman business, please give some ideas, i would greatly appreciate any advice, Thanks.

Re: immigration

Based on your post, school or a job with a pharmacy may be her best option. Schooling will not be a permanent solution to allow her to remain here, but an employer may be able to sponsor her. The process though can take a few years before she will be eligible to apply for her green card to remain here as a resident.

If you would like to discuss her options in more detail, please do not hesitate to contact me directly.
