Re: Information

If your boyfriend entered the country legally and marries a U.S. citizen, he would be eligible to obtain permanent residence. I would strongly recommend that you set up an in-person consultation with competent immigration counsel. We charge $150 for a consultation.

Responding to this inquiry in no way establishes an attorney client relationship; however, I look forward to exploring these issues with you further by way of telephone or in-person consultation.

Re: Information

The Dream Act was never passed and is not law. However, your boyfriend may be eligible for immigration benefits depending on his previous immigration history and his family's immigration history. I strongly recommend that he seek advice from an attorney to discuss his eligibility for any immigration benefits.
