Legal Question in Immigration Law in New Jersey

my wife just received a approval notice of the I-485 adjustment of status. her green card will not possibly arrive for a few more weeks. We have a cruise scheduled for Saturday' Can she use the approval to travel with legally?

Unfortunately, no. If you are leaving the country, she must go to her local USCIS office immediately (since I don't forsee she'll get an Infopass apmnt so quickly) & get an I-551 stamp in her passport. A local immigration attorney may be able to assist you with this expeditiously. Good luck.
