Legal Question in Insurance Law in New Jersey

What is a lienholder on a boat? We own a boat with our sister in law and got an amendment from our insurance stating she was now the lienholder. We never authorized a change. What does this mean?

A lienholder is the person who you owe money to regarding the purchase. Once the lien is paid off, the lien is removed. If yopu would like to discuss this matter further, please contact me at 732-663-1500.
