You should bring a cause of action right away under the applicable Wage Payment and Collection act. Feel free to call our offices.

Re: Employeer not paying - Checks Bounced

You should act immediately otherwise you may never be paid. It sounds as if this employer is in a very fragile economic position. Your best approach is to try to get what is due to you very soon and the best way to do that is if the demand comes through your lawyer. If the first demand doesn't work and the employer is in NJ, the State will help and there is always the possibility of filing a civil suit. The point for you is that you need to get your money while there is still money to be had.

You should also be looking for other work. Wages are very high on the debts that the employer should be paying. I he is not paying his employees, collapse of the business is almost sure to follow. Working for free will not put food on your table.

My firm handles matters of this type, however it may be easier for you to work with a lawyer whose office is closer to you. If I can be of further help to you, call or email.
