Legal Question in Employment Law in New Jersey

Hello,

I am a siding sub-contractor. In August, i completed a job for one company. This was my second job for this particular company. I was paid for my job very quickly, but I am having issues getting paid for this second job. More than a month has passed and I still have not received the full payment. I do not have a contract with the job provider. The owners of the house that I completed the job on, are very happy with my work, and have already paid the my job provider. I have been paid less than half of the money for this job. Also, it is very hard for me to contact with the job provider. He never answers my calls and very rarely replies to my texts. What should I do to get my full payment, and what should be my next moves in order to receive my payment? Thank You very much, Vytas. By the way, this is happening in New Jersey.

A construction lien would help you if the prime contractor has not yet been fully paid. It has to be filed within 90 days of the last work and it may be necessary to apply for a special form of arbitration to get it. Call if you need help.
