Pay increase regulations

Good afternoon,

Is there a pay increase regulations for warehouse workers, my mom has been at a company for 16 years and she is only making $.11cents over the minimun wage requirements for the state of NJ. Is this legal?

There is no requirement for an employer to give employees a raise above the state minimum wage. However, if an employer does give out raises, then the manner in which they are done cannot be discriminatory (cannot be based on race, gender, religion, etc). Your mother may want to consider better paying employment if she has 16 good years of work history.
