Legal Question in Employment Law in New Jersey

My supervisor gave a copy of my employment application to unknown person. Knowning the information would be used for criminal acts. Do I have a Privacy Act Violation case?

The Privacy Act applies only to agencies of the federal government. You may have other remedies. Consult a lawyer in your area.
