Legal Question in Landlord & Tenant Law in New Jersey

How can I evict my tenant from apartment unit in Jersey City, NJ? Can I evict my tenant when the lease expire and by not offering her renewal contact? The problem with this tenant is that her 10-13 yrs ago son kept bring kids from the street and doing drugs, smoking, breaking my lock, and all sort of bad things in my buildings hallway and basement, while the mother has no control over her son.

There were many times police came looking for her son (I also had other tenants call the police to report many time when they spot kids in the hallway smoking). Im the landlord and I dont live in the building, so its hard to catch this kid when he brings his street friends to my building. Ive written to the mother which is the tenant many times to address her sons behavior, but this has been an on-going event. Can I terminate the tenancy when her lease is up? Or is there anyone can suggest a good lawyer in Jersey City area whom specializes in evicting tenants?

Look me up. I am in Newark. Come see me and I will work on evicting your tenant for you. That's what I do every day. My office is in Newark but I am in the Jersey City Courthouse every week. You need to terminate the tenancy pursuant to the NJ Anti-Eviction Act. I am very familiar with that law and the procedure. My office handles over 700 eviction cases a month in NJ. Bruce Gudin.
