Legal Question in Landlord & Tenant Law in New Jersey

leasing an apartment

I signed a lease almost one month ago (a 1 year lease). My husband and I have reconciled and i would like move back home. Is there any way I can do this without having to pay the 1,300.00 per month for an entire year?

Re: leasing an apartment

Greetings - The landlord may let you out of the lease early, it all depends on how easily the apt. can be re-rented. You may also be able to sub-let the unit, but many residential leases prohibit sub-letting, so without seeing your lease, I can't say for certain that this would be an option.

Feel free to give my office a call if youd like to discuss this further. There is no fee for the initial consultation.
