tenant/landord issue

I wanted to know my rights about living on an illegal apartment, well just last week i found out i am living in a illegal apartment

how i found? well the inspectors came to the house and was told that it was.

how can i protect myself what are my rights i have two children and i am alone do i get compicated? i moved from a beautiful building apartment to were i live now, now it will be hard to find a place for me and my kids what can i do?

You are entitled to receive six (6) months rent for relocation. This amount is separate from any amount you may or may not owe the Landlord as rent, and the Landlord may not off-set any amount due and owing from the fixed sum. Further, the Landlord must provide you with the six months at least five days prior to you vacating the apartment.

Your landlord owes you six months of rent to compensate you for your costs in moving to another apartment. There is a law that says that.
