Legal Question in Legal Ethics in New Jersey

I am a professional interior designer and am a member of an LLC (I am 100% owner) I have been practicing for 21 years and have often been warned not to recommend a source of mine to anyone- for example- a marble yard/fabricator, or a cabinetry shop- as I could be sued if they went there on their own and then later had a problem that resulted in a law suit with the source I recommended to them. I had been told it was not as risky to give out three names at one time- for example three sources that do window tinting- not just the one guy I mainly use- any advice for me in this area?

A good practice but not necessary because you are not a guarantor of an independent business.
