Legal Question in Legal Ethics in New Jersey
If a town prosecutor is aware of a serious mistake made by a police officer leading to the arrest of a citizen, does he have a rersponsibility, as an attorney, to bring it to light when that citizen appears in court? And if he isn't aware of the mistake made by the officer does he have a responsibility to know.
